Conversing

Lucy stands in the shower, letting the water scald her as she thinks.
"Guys?" She asks tentatively, interrupting their conversation.
"What, Lucy?" They demand angrily.
"Is it... Is it really worth it? All that I've done to get get here... Is killing Joshua really worth all of this? What happens after I kill him? Where do I go from there? Does he really have to die? Can't I just kill myself and have it done and over with?" Lucy is nearly whispering by the end of her monologue.
The voices contemplate her words for just a moment.
"He must die. Afterwards, you can die, but not before." The voices go back to their original conversation.
Lucy stands silently, thinking to herself some more before turning the water off.
